Francesco Del Fra: Pianist :Artistic curriculum

Francesco Del Fra graduated in piano at the age of twenty-two at the “L. Refice” Conservatory of Frosinone with full marks under the guidance of Prof. Grazia Barbanera. Fascinated by chamber music, in 2005 he obtained the relevant three-year diploma at the Conservatory of S. Cecilia, under the guidance of maestros Luciano Cerroni and Aldo D’Amico. Together with the clarinetist Vincenzo Isaia, he founded the “Duo Résonance”, winning prizes in numerous national and international competitions. In 2009 he brilliantly obtained the diploma of the advanced course held by Maestro Bruno Canino in Chamber Music at the Fiesole School of Music, and since then he has performed regularly in Italian festivals and chamber music seasons, collaborating with internationally renowned composers and artists. At the same time, he directed choral ensembles and managed the staging of “Tosca”, “Madama Butterfly”, “Un ballo in maschera” and other titles produced by the Dodekachordon cultural association, of which he is the founder and artistic director, since 2009. He is the creator of innovative and experimental projects such as “Cavalleria metropolitana”, a theatrical and musical reworking of “Cavalleria rusticana” by Verga-Mascagni, and of educational and laboratory projects for schools. He is a founding member of the Consorzio Liberi Musicisti, a working group that unites performers and composers with the aim of promoting contemporary Italian music. He is the dedicatee of original music composed by living authors and performs as a chamber pianist in Contemporary Music festivals such as “Il cantiere internazionale delle arti” in Montepulciano or “Contrasti” in Trento. He has attended chamber music master classes with Calogero Palermo, Karl Leister, Piero Rattalino, Roberto Prosseda. He has collaborated with the Italian Army Band as an additional pianist. He is a frequent guest of the season of the “Camera musicale romana” and of “Luminaria” in Rome; he collaborates with prestigious choral ensembles including the New Chamber Singers.
